Services

Basement construction for London homes.

New space below ground, from excavation and underpinning to reinforced, waterproofed structure and finished rooms. Omniform delivers the construction alongside the appointed architect and professional team.

Below ground, through to finish

A basement is part of the house above it.

The sequence below ground has to work with the existing building and the rooms that follow. We review buildability, plan temporary works and coordinate the structure, services and finish with the project team.

Our completed basements include cinemas, gymnasiums, guest accommodation, lounges and utility space. Where the basement forms part of a larger scheme, we carry it within the whole-house refurbishment programme.

Two completed examples

The construction, and the rooms it made possible.

At Sterndale Road in Hammersmith, working with The Vawdrey House, we excavated a new basement with a lounge, guest suite and concealed utility spaces. A threshold in blackened timber links the new rooms to the house above.

At Elgin Mews in west London, working with Xami Design Studio, a newly excavated basement created a gymnasium and cinema as part of the home's reworking across four levels.

The work behind the words

Bring the drawings to the conversation.

Send the address, the scheme's current stage, the architect's drawings, structural information and specification where available, and the intended start on site. We can then discuss the scope and what is needed to price it.

Most Omniform schemes sit between £300,000 and £2,000,000-plus in total contract value. That is the typical scale of our projects, rather than a basement price guide. Read how we work with architects, or contact us about a particular property. We reply to every enquiry within two working days.
