With this project Omniform were tasked with dramatically transforming a small one bedroom apartment in West-London, to create an additional bedroom, studio and a large, versatile living space.
Bespoke timber panels articulate the bedrooms and bathroom, creating a warm, sumptuous space into which a polished concrete floor reflects light from the light-wells at both the front and center.
The long corridor has been carefully detailed with American white oak battens perfectly routed into a dark Valchomat substrate. The result draws the eye towards the light filled open plan living space in which the polished concrete floor continues, unbroken, from the front bedrooms and is matched with polished plaster walls and a carefully detailed kitchen.
From the living space, the eye is drawn through large glass doors to the garden and the studio space nestled beyond. Whilst articulated in the same palette and forms as the main house, the douglas fir paneled walls and white polished concrete floor in this more intimate space create a quiet, cozy retreat.
